LEAD GUITAR
BRUCE ERIK BRAUER - (East Coast Band / Traveling Band)
Born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, NY - Bruce started playing guitar at 13 when a neighbor gifted him an old acoustic guitar. It was after buying his first KISS record. (Hotter Than Hell) that it became apparent to become a rock star. Influenced by Judas Priest, Beatles, Rush, Randy Rhodes, RacerX, KISS and Yngwie Malmsteen - He practiced his guitar 18 hours a day and learned how to play his favorite riffs from LPs on the record player.
He formed what became a premiere Long Island hair metal band TEQUILA and packed the local clubs with Faster Pussycat, Mr. Big and LA Guns in the NY Tri-state area in the late 80s and early 90’s. A new line up and direction of music led to signing to Atlantic Records with a record deal for the new band - DOG SOCIETY - Touring North America with Soul Asylum, Sheryl Crow, Stone Temple Pilots, and Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Produced by Grammy® Winning producers Rob Schnapf + Tom Rothrock - The album “Test Your Own Eyes” was the 6th most added album on radio for the Summer of ’93. 25+ years and 3 albums later, Bruce still writes, produces and records with DOG SOCIETY at a more casual pace. His desert island albums would be THE BEATLES White album and RUSH Permanent Waves.
Bruce also formed KINGS of the BRUSHWOOD THICKET - A solo acoustic project which was first released 2014.
He is a proud member of ASCAP, NATAS and The Recording Academy.
He is ranked in the top 30 of “Amazing Spider-Man” comic collectors on earth.
When his guitar is in its case Bruce keeps busy as a creative TV + Advertising executive who has received 27 Emmy awards among other notable industry accolades.
